Emerge Career is a free CDL training program for people who have been impacted by the justice system. Fully funded by government agencies, we provide coaching, training, and job placement support for those who participate in our program. Our graduates make $75,000/year on average.

From application through employment, Emerge Career's Success Coaches walk with you on your journey to a new career.
Sign up and complete our application. It takes less than 10 minutes.
Our 40-hour online course teaches you everything you need to know about getting your Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP). The course is self-paced and can be completed from your phone, tablet, or computer.
After you finish our online course, we'll send you to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to get your Commercial Learner's Permit. We provide reimbursements for fees related to getting your CLP.
After getting your CLP, we'll place you at one of our partner trucking schools in your area. There, you'll receive On-The-Road (OTR) training and prepare to get your CDL.
Go to the DMV and pass your CDL Skills Test. Obtain your CDL!
Emerge Career's Success Coaches work with you to find employment at one of our Second-Chance Employers–employer from our network that have a demonstrated interest in hiring someone with a criminal history.
