The driving test preparation program that will help Californians ace the DMV exam
We empower the local movement
In California, Emerge Career solely focuses on test preparation for the commercial driver's license. After the student passes the exam, we partner with existing BPPE-approved local schools that are responsible for offering the driving training.
An FMCSA-recognized ELDT theory provider
An Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) certification is a requirement for individuals to operate large commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in the United States. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has established a set of minimum standards for training an individual to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL). Emerge Career submits the ELDT certification to individuals that complete its test prep program to the Training Provider Registry.
A smarter way to prepare
We are the perfect companion to the DMV manual. Our practice tests help you pass your DMV knowledge test faster and more effectively. We take facts directly from the handbook and create practice test questions similar (often identical) to those you'll see on the actual driver's license test.
How we got here?
In 2020, Gabe and Zo co-founded Ameelio, a tech nonprofit that builds education and communication tools for prisons. During their journey, they encountered individuals full of hope for a better life upon release but struggled to find employment due to their past incarceration. This is the societal issue that Emerge Career seeks to solve.
