ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Emerge career program is coming to the Finger Lakes.
The program works with people who are incarcerated, or were previously incarcerated, helping them receive training and jobs across a variety of career tracks.
“We are always listening to our users what happened was we spent a lot of time interviewing people who were incarcerated who were formerly incarcerated and workforce development folks and one thing we kept hearing about was trucking, that this was a profession that they had long wanted to get into,” co-founder and CEO Uzoma Orchingwa said. “There are different career tracks that we are going to be rolling out this year and early next year.”
